Corp. then later in 1998 with UBS from 1978 to 2000. He was most recently a Managing Director,
responsible for establishing the Onshore Private Banking in Europe (outside Switzerland).

Earlier, fulfilled a number of line and staff roles
in Zürich, London, and in the US, in corporate and investment banking. Prior to Swiss
Bank Corporation he was the Manager of the Zurich Branch of Chase Manhattan Bank and
Economist at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel. |

regulatory and legal matters. |

Holds a law degree (Dr.iur) and a degree in
economics (Dr.rer.pol.) from the University of Graz; also studied in Bonn and at
Princeton University in Princeton N.J. |

Has lived in Küsnacht (Zürich) for more than 25
years with his wife; 2 children are grown up and independent. |
